
You'll need to enable the extension the first time you use it by launching the share sheet, scrolling to the left until you find "More" and then slide the ViewExif switch to On. Integrated with iOS 8's share extension, you can pull up the Exif data for any photo directly from the share sheet. ViewExif is currently free in the App Store, marked down from its normal price of 99 cents. I discovered this app thanks to the team at AppleWorld.Today. Over the years, various iOS apps have existed to read Exif data stored in photos, but none of them have been done all that well.


The information details what type of camera was used, what the settings of the camera were at the time the photo was taken and perhaps more importantly, where the photo was taken. Exif data is embedded into each photo you take.
